COMPETITIONS & PRIZES

4ch MOD
Size limit is 880KB
Must be a 4-channel Protracker / Soundtracker module
Please keep the length to a maximum of around 3m30s. Longer modules that clearly can’t be cut shorter will be allowed, but if your song is five minutes of repeated gabber drumloops, expect little sympathy. Remember that tunes which don’t bore the tits off the audience win votes!
There will be some preselection – if your module isn’t played, you’ll be notified and it won’t be distributed or released in any way.
Modules will be played from Protracker 3.62 on an Amiga 1200 with the filter OFF and all other settings as default. This will be projected on the bigscreen, and any messages you leave in the sampletext will be scrolled through for the audience to read.
Modules will be played in MONO, partly because of the wide stereo spread of the hall’s PA and partly because there’s no universal agreement on the ‘right’ amount of stereo separation for Amiga audio. The organisers won’t have time to cater to everyone’s specific panning requirements, so the final judgement is MONO.
In the unlikely event that all Amigas in the partyhall simultaneously and spontaneously combust, we reserve the right to play the modules from XMPlay on Windows with Ramping ON, Interpolation OFF, stereo separation at 0% and with no DSP or autogain.
We will fade highly repetitive modules and modules which are obviously looping.
